The Division of Informatics and Biomedical Communications is a service oriented organization. Informatics provides a broad range of information technology related services. 

Biomedical Communications supports the multimedia needs of the undergraduate and graduate medical education curriculum of the College of Medicine and the professional activities of the College of Medicine's students, administrators, faculty, and staff.

Our training facilities are available for use to the University community at a nominal charge. These charges are used to support our center and to ensure a state of the art facility to support your training needs. Informatics is available to assist you with your training needs.

All requests for services are accepted through the business office. All equipment and materials related to services are picked up and delivered through this office. Request for multimedia services must be made at least 24 hours before the event.

Faculty and Staff Training
The Division of Informatics is responsible for training of College of Medicine faculty and staff in the use of information technologies. We provide training on an annual basis. Our training schedule is provided via the link on the left. Although priority is given to faculty and staff of the College of Medicine, our training programs are open to the University community. Please check our training schedule from course fees.


Meet our Staff

The Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) was established to support the academic curriculum of the College of Medicine through the use of instructional technology which includes computer assisted instruction and multimedia aides. Students are welcome to study materials in this facility independently, or utilize faculty prescribed materials. Data processing, word processing, and Internet access are also available.
